The goal of our Dominican Academy Camps is to offer competitive players ages 11-16 a professional baseball development training and game play camp and cultural immersion only experienced in the Dominican Republic, the motherland of international baseball.

2024 TRIP DATES

MARCH BREAK - AGES 11-14: Saturday March 16 - Friday March 22 (7 Days/6Nights)

SUMMER SESSION I - AGES 13-16: Saturday June 29 - Friday July 12 (14 Days/13 Nights)

SUMMER SESSION II - AGES 13-16: Saturday August 3 - Friday August 16 (14 Days/13 Nights)

Outline/Accommodations/Inclusions For All Trips

  • Stay in the beach town of Boca Chica near Santo Domingo at the all-inclusive beachfront Whala Hotel
  • Train and play at both local Dominican fields as well as pro-style youth complexes AND MLB Dominican Academy Complexes
  • Multiple Games against local youth Dominican teams with a game at an MLB Complex facility
  • Training session at the legendary Valdez training academy in Santo Domingo
  • Community Service project each trip with Domincan kids along with cultural exposure
  • Excursion to the capital of Santo Domincan to explore its rich history
  • Beach excursion complete with Beach baseball workout!
  • All Transportation included: To and from airport, training facilities, games, excursions
  • 3 meals per day: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; Hydration and snacks throughout the day
  • Dedicated American trip leader, Jay Quinn, former Columbia University Baseball coach and the President of the Baseball Island Foundation who resides year-round ni the DR and has 10+ years of experience running international baseball trips
  • Parents welcome to join their players!

  • On the Weekend head to Las Terrenas, Samana at the beach front Bahia Punta Bonita Hotel for beautiful beaches and more baseball
  • Immersion with the Baseball Island Foundation community and players with a chance for more community service and cultural interaction
  • Two weeks of training and game play!

  • Team of elite professional Dominican trainers and coaches most with prior professional baseball experience
  • Jay Quinn: Former Columbia University Baseball Coach and President of the Baseball Island Foundation supervises and leads all trips along with our own coaching staff
  • Onsite medical trainer
  • Some training sessions held at MLB or Professional Youth Complexes with state of the art practice facilities and pro style fields

Two Week Camp Itinerary and Costs

  • Day 1: (Saturday): Arrivals and hotel check-in; Welcome Reception for all players
  • Day 2: (Sunday- @ MLB or Youth Pro complex): Player evaluations (Rapsodo player profiles for hitting and pitching; 60-yard and 40-yard measurement), conditioning session; Santo domingo city tour (Zona Colonial)
  • Day 3: – Day 6 (Monday – Thursday : Position-specific training sessions (Fielding, hitting, and pitching work groups); Lunch; 1-on-1 session break out; Pre-game prep (infield-outfield), Gameplay vs. local dominican team, post-game conditioning session
  • Day 7: (Friday): MLB Academy tour; Lunch; travel to Las Terrenas; Beach workout
  • Day 8: (Saturday): Pre-game prep, Baseball Game vs. Local Dominican Team; Salto Limon waterfall hike
  • Day 9: (Sunday): Day trip to Cayo Levantado; return to Santo Domingo
  • Day 10 - 12: (Monday - Wednesday - @ MLB or pro youth complex): Position-specific training sessions (Fielding, hitting, and pitching work groups); Lunch; 1-on-1 session break out; Pre-game prep (infield-outfield), Gameplay vs. Local Dominican Teams, post-game conditioning session
  • Day 13: (Thursday): Player evaluations, pre-game prep, Baseball game, Santo Domingo City tour (National Park Los 3 Ojos); Camp commencement, awards, camp dinner
  • Day 14: (Friday): Departure to USA

Tuition includes all games and training, hotel accomodations, 3 meals per day, daily transportation and airport transfers, snacks and hydration daily, DReam Trip workout shirt and shorts

Two players per room. If Parents are attending can stay in room with their player or get their own room.

Portion of proceeds go to support the Baseball Island Foundation for academic enrichment for children in the Dominican Republic
